Welcome to Bethel Historical Society

An independent, non-profit organization founded in 1966, the Bethel Historical Society sponsors exhibits, lectures, events, and publications that make the region's history meaningful, accessible, and enjoyable.

The Society's museum features six exhibit galleries and nine period rooms spread throughout two buildingsā€”the 1821 O'Neil Robinson House and the 1813 Dr. Moses Mason House.

Genealogists and other researchers may avail themselves of the Society's library and archival holdings, as well as thousands of historic objects in its permanent collection. Throughout the year, the Bethel Historical Society provides a full schedule of high quality events for people of all ages.
